Analysis and clean-up of identities across various IAM systems at one of Germany’s largest primary insurers

Initial situation: Managing identities across multiple internal IAM systems had become unmanageable. A six-figure number of expired accounts could neither be tracked in an audit-proof manner nor efficiently cleaned up.

Objective: To establish an IAM stack for the audit-proof monitoring and cleanup of expired identities.

Result: A tool for the continuous monitoring and clean-up of identities was successfully implemented; the project was completed on time and within budget.

The project involved the development of a tool based on graph databases that analyses accounts across the various IAM systems and enables clean-up. Existing processes were reviewed, departments were supported, and coordination with the audit department was carried out. The tool manages clean-up measures, enhances compliance and automates sub-processes. Result: a sustainable solution that makes identity management efficient, audit-proof and flexible.
