Integration of a global authentication and authorisation standard

Initial situation: A global authentication standard needed to be introduced for a telecommunications provider’s new customer portal to enable consistent onboarding of service providers.

Objective: Integrate Mobile Connect (GSMA) and establish standardised onboarding for customers and service providers.

Result: Mobile Connect successfully integrated, standardised onboarding implemented, interfaces between marketing and IT coordinated.

The new customer portal for a leading telecommunications provider required the integration of the global authentication and authorisation standard Mobile Connect (GSMA) to enable standardised onboarding of service providers. The project encompassed the integration of both the service provider and an aggregator service, the management and technical evaluation of the services provided, as well as coordination between IT, marketing and other specialist departments. The aim was to establish a consistent approach for the integration of Mobile Connect that ensures both security and user-friendliness. In parallel, interfaces between the portal, backend systems and external providers were analysed and optimised to facilitate future expansions. The result is a successfully implemented solution that standardises the onboarding of additional service providers, streamlines processes and sustainably strengthens the IT landscape of the customer portal.
